Bed Day, Night Out

The kind of Saturday you start by reading, watching a movie, journaling, and feeding yourself, all in the comfort of your bed. And you finish it out, with friends, making pizza, and getting the last king on Rings of Fire which in my case, implied downing a mix of vodka, gin, jager and, since my friends are the most generous of the people, some juicy crisps on top!

A bunch of people locked in a student dorm later shut down by security, pretty much sums up my first party of 2022. Curiously, I always seem to be in the bathroom when that happens! Saturday night did not just end there, it was followed by the usual, always unexpected, mysterious looks of classmates, and questions such as "Were you the girl asking me about Pittsburgh at the party last Saturday?". If only I could say 'no'... yet, the worse was bumping into someone on the bus whose sexuality you had misinterpreted and naively confessed whilst drunk.

This week reminded me of what my first year of university felt like: when a night out a week was sufficient to uphold enough embarrassing social engagements throughout the year. That's also when I started writing the blog, which brought up some reminiscent feelings back to my heart :')

I feel like this year is going to be a very special one, 2022, The Year of the Tiger uuuuuu I was in such a bad mental place when it started (even got covid exactly in the first week), but then re-realised it is all part of the journey: how wonderful this life has been for me so far and how excited I am for the upcoming months! Ahh, you know, not every day is going to be easy - in fact, I have been having lots of bad days recently (so not anticlimactic, yikes). The point is: you can learn how to get better at dealing with bad emotions - one event after the other, the trick is: to start to see it almost as a challenge and prove yourself to yourself, that you will get better every time.

Random and required, we needed a catch-up! Kisses,

x
